Today we made progress with the Voice Thread Project.  The students uploaded an avatar from the shared student drive (we mapped to it in class).  They didn't necessarily understand the whole mapping extravaganza, but at least they know that it exists and they did it with help. Some students were able to add their voices to the projects and doodle to explain. One student finished and we had hers as an example. I think the project is going well...the whole explaining part of the project is challenging for the students.  They are explaining and learning a new program, but we certainly having a great time in the process.  I told them that i'd like to make a sort of quiz at the end for them to see how they retain the information.  I was thinking of asking them to define AVATAR, UPLOAD, NETWORK or SHARED DRIVE, EMBED.  Maybe i could even have the students explain the project via a podcast....
