Another use for the Marketing Plan is to creative an incentive for the employees of the business.  While many businesses take only a couple hours to come up with a marketing plan, the marketing plan should be much more researched.  It is used a basis for how a company markets a product and its own image.  It also evaluates how a current product is doing, and what can be done to improve its sales.
