There are a few things different between 2007 and 2017.  The 2007 list has items such as being able to make phone calls on airplanes, rock and roll being a force for social good, the rise of computer use, the disuse of telegrams, fax, or long distance calls, and who is seen and not seen on television. The 2017 list is mostly technology based when it comes to communication.  It has item such as the news appearing at the bottom of TV screens, courts using computer network wiretaps, the use of a GPS to find locations, computer generated movies, no longer needing to talk to friends at their house to study with them, and other dependencies of technology.  Our communication world is pretty much close to 2017 because we advance in technology more and more every year and become dependent on it.  Ten years from now there will be a total dependency on video games, computers, 40 more iphones will be made, and no one will ever know the plasma screens didn't always exist.
