What is an unsafe act?
 Anunsafe act is a change from an accepted ,normal, or correct procedure that usually causes an accident. 3.2.6
Give three examples.
-failing to use PPE
 -Failing to warn co-workers of hazards
 -lifting improperly 3.2.6
What is an unsafe condition?
An unsafe condition is a physical state that is different from the acceptable, normal, correct conditions found on the job site. 3.2.8
 
Give three examples.
 -congested workplace
 -defective tools, equipment, or supplies.
 -excessive noise  3.2.8
What is the difference between and unsafe act and an unsafe condition?
Unsafe act is when you don’t use safety or follow the correct directions, an unsafe condition is like weather where you can’t do anything about it.

Unsafe conditions are thinks the worker don’t really have control over and unsafe act is something the worker is doing that is improper 3.2.6 -3.2.8

 An unsafe condition that is different from normal procedure.

-congested workplace

-poor lighting

-poor ventalation

According to OSHA 29 CFR 1926, describe the definition of a competent person.
A competent person is one who is able to capable of identifying a hazaed or predicting a possible hazard and is able to eliminate them from the workplace (3.4.6)
 
According to OSHA 29 CFR 1926, describe the definition of a qualified person.
A qualified person is one who either has a degree or extensive knowledge and experience and is able to resolve problems at hand (3.4.6)
 
Compare a competent person to a qualified person.
A competent person is not the same as a qualified person a qualified person has the knowledge and experience to solve much harder problems than a qualified person and just because theyre competent does not mean they are qualified (3.4.6)

 
What is the difference between a competent person and a qualified person.

 
A competent person lacks the knowledge and experience and sometimes even lacks the degree that a qualified person may have a qualified is also able to handle more problems (3.4.6)
 
Why is it important to have at least one qualified person on the job site?
 
It is important to have at least one qualified person on the job site because they are more knowledgeable than a competent and can solve more and larger issues than just an competent person making the workplace safer

 An unsafe act is an act that changes the normality and acceptability it can be any conduct that makes a job site unsafe or less safe than usual (3.2.6)
