In 1836, Thomas Cole made a painting in Mount Holyoke, Massachusetts. The painting was a view from Mount Holyoke (The Oxbow). The painting is a rural place, it has a lot of plain places to go, with a lot of trees. I chose this painting because I like how it looks and I like the outdoors.
