Title: Ladder for Booker T. Washington, 1996
Category: Weekly Blog Entries
Description: Artist Martin Puryear
Ladder for Booker T. Washington, 1996
Artist: Martin Puryear ( 1941)
By Daniel Whittier 5th Grade.

In this picture it looks like a endless twisting ladder. The Artist use ash and maple wood to create it. This ladder is different from most ladders because its hanging from wires and narrower at the top.
This ladder will be difficult to climb because it's very twisty and looks unstable. I think the Artist is trying to show that looks are deceiving because it looks like it reaches the sky, but is not even close to reaching the sky.
I choose this picture because I like how it shows natures natural shapes. I also like the way the wood is smooth and pretty.
