BR: (1) Turn in homework (dialectic journals for Ch. 5 and 6). (2) Brainstorm on paper ideas of how Animal Farm connects to the themes of: totalitarianism, social class warfare, language as power, and revolution & corruption.
1 – Animal Farm
     -         themes
          o   discussion/class activity
          o   read and answer questions on theme worksheet (attached)
     -         go over Ch. 7 Themes worksheet expectations (attached)
2 – Vocabulary Unit 9
     -         “Choosing the Right Word”
3 – Begin working on homework
HW:  Chapter 7 and theme worksheet (Ch. 7 – Themes).

BR: Take out the research project rubric and tape/glue it to the inside of your manila folder (see Miss Busch).

     -         finding sources in NOVEL Gale Periodicals, Twayne Author Series, and 
                Biography Reference Bank
     -         Work time
             o   if you find 5 GREAT sources, you can start reading and annotating what you have
                  printed.
HW: Have all 5 of your sources printed for next class. If this is done, you need to start reading your sources.
