In the last third of the book Lost in Babylon Marco, Jack, Aly, and Cass travel back to their original time zone. They come up with a way to trap some of the power of the loculus. They travel back to Babylon and they activate the device. After about two minutes Marco snatches up the loculus explains that he changed sides. As the ground shakes Marco ran off with two other guys he brought over after he told them to continued a head. Feeling regret Jack, Cass, and Aly ran to the portal. When they got to the other side they were taken by the new people Marco was working with. Once they got to the headquarters of this organization Aly made a run for it. The men tried to find her but failed. Later Cass and Jack ran for it and they had help from an unknown person who they find the identity later in the book. But as they escaped they stole the locului back. They found the KI and were back to the people they knew and trusted.
