Title: Rush For the Gold

The book I read was called Rush For the Gold, By John Feinstein. The main character in the book is named Susan Carol who is a great swimmer that is sent to the Olympics. But everything is not what you would expect for a national champion starting a new life.At first her experience is ''sweet'' as the author explains it. No school, swimming, and just relaxing. But relaxing only stays awhile while she has her agents start scheduling photo shoots for Under Armour and Nike. After the first long week, her meet to determine if she makes the Olympic team comes into play. The night finally comes and her boyfriend and family are there to watch it. 200 meters of fly she has to go when the voices above the water begin to come to mind. "Come with me."
she cant turn her head but she knows that her agent never liked her family being around there for he might think they are distracting. 100 meters passed. Almost there. as she turned off the wall a glimpse of here family disappeared out a door fallowing someone. Nowhere to be seen. The rush for the gold is on.

This book isn't similar to mine, but it sounds like a good read. If you like page turning books about sports i would suggest Travel Team, by Mike Lupica.

I think this book seems very interesting but i myself do not like sport books! But you have certainly opened my mind to trying something new and reading a sport book for a change!
