In the book Lone Survivor by Marcus Lutterll, Marcus describes him and his SEAL buddies on their way to fulfill their mission which is to capture or kill an al Qaeda leader known to be hidden in a Taliban stronghold. While Marcus and the rest of SEAL team 10 are on their way to Afghanistan, Marcus describes his life back in Bahrain and Manama. Back when Marcus and his brother Morgan were home, they underwent pre-SEAL camp, which consisted of running for twelve miles while having to drag concrete bricks behind them and they had to study and practice armed and unarmed combat. Marcus and his brother Morgan were two of the six people that kept with the pre-SEAL training camp.
