Title: Finnikin of The Rock

In the adventures book "Finnikin of the Rock," Finnikin, the son of the captin of the kings gaurd for Lumatere and Sir Topher whom once was the kings first man before the five days of the unspeakable happend (which was a slaughter for most of the people of skuldenore) are traviling through the land and serching for the lost prince named Balthezar. On their travles they bring a Novince named Evanjalin who says she knows where Balthezar is. When they make it to Sarnak a theif kidnapped the Novince and took her to a alley way but Finnikin follows and uses his fathers sowrd to defeat the thief. Later in the story finnikin gets captured and gets put in the prison of Sorel and finds his father and they make plans to breaking out.

My books The Strange Case of Origami Yoda and Darth Paper Strikes Back, Origami Yoda and Darth Paper both give advice to kids who want to know stuff. But Finnikan of the rock reminds me of the hobbit.

your story is almost like mine but the character Hugo almost got put in prison for stealing but he got a way.
