In the book the best of me there are to characters a girl named Amanda and a boy named Dawson they are two high school students that fall in love. Amanda starts getting into trouble with her classmates and her friends and her parents think it is Dawson fault. Amanda parents did not want her seeing him anymore because they think they are rouing her future to get into Yale but that did not stop Amanda so in the middle of the night she would sneak around to see Dawson but her parents found out and they both decided that if she does not stop dating Dawson then she will have to move out and they wont pay for college. Dawson decided that her didn't want to ruined her future so they broke up and didn't see each other again.
