In the last part of the book the best of me Dawson and Amanda starts to fall in love again even though she knows its the wrong thing to do because she is married and has a child. But after a while and they start hanging out more she realizes that she does not want to let Dawson go so she tells her husband that she wants a divorse.Later Amanda is upset at herself because she could not fight these feelings and didn't want to ruin her marrige.But she new she couldn't let Dawson go. Dawson and Amanda are deeply in love. Dawson starts deplaning to her what been happening the past twenty five years he explained how he went to jail he explained to her it was an accident and she belied him. and they moved in together and lived in peace.
