A minor character that I really like in the story Crush by the author Gary Paulson is Markie.  He is a very wild and hilarious preschooler.  Markie is babysat by the main character, Kevin.  While Kevin is babysitting Markie, he uses Markie to help him set up experiments so Kevin can learn about love.  Such as when in the story it states, “C’mon, Markie, you can help me make a special dinner for my parents.” This shows how Kevin uses Markie for his experiments.
          In the story Crush Markie really likes Kevin and thinks that Kevin is like the greatest person ever.  Kevin feels almost the same about Markie.  The only difference is that Markie is a preschooler.  In the book Crush it states “Markie’s a great… He’s high maintence.”  This shows how Kevin feels about Markie.  In the book Crush this is about Markie, my favorite character.
