Hermes went to Calypso island to tell Calypso to give Odysseus a method of transportation to go away.  Calypso gave Odysseus parts to make a raft and after he was done making it he sailed away.  Odysseus came to the land of Phaecian.  The king gave Odysseus a boat and a crew.  Odysseus stayed one day and watched the men compete in discus throwing and other events.  After staying one more night Odysseus set sail to Ithaca with his new boat and new crew.  Odysseus was dropped off at his home land when he met up with Athena.  Athena turned Odysseus into an old man and Odysseus talked to an old swine Herder to catch up on what he's missed.  Athena got Odysseus's son Telemachus and Odysseus and Telemachus made a plan to regain control of the castle and get rid of all the men inside begging for Odysseus's wife's love.
