In my book, Heist Society by Veronica Roth, Kat (the main character) starts out at Colgan high school.  First a friend of hers, Hale framed Kat at Colgan, which got her kicked out of the school.  Later that day Hale came by Colgan and picked her up in a limo, then Hale took Kat to their Uncle Eddie’s house.  Once Kat was there she was told that her father was framed for stealing 5 priceless paintings from an extremely bad man named Arturo Taccone.  Kat met with Arturo and he gave her a deadline of 2 weeks to return his painting to him or he would do a horrible thing to her father (such as kill him).  Then Kat did some research and found out that the real man that stole the paintings hid them inside the Henley art gallery, one of the most protected art galleries in the world. Lastly Kat got together with more of her family and created a team and planned to “rob” the Henley, a job that only the man that got the paintings in had ever done.
