In my book, One of those Hideous Books where the Mother Dies, Ruby and Ray break up and he dates her best friend, Lizzie. Ruby was later introduced to her dads personal trainer/servant, Max. When lizzie and Ray call her she has the time of her life, but then they have to go. Her "friend" Collette acted to be her friend by calling her sis, inviting her for tacos, and giving her a tour of the campus but then, she just stops asking and gives her dirty looks.Ruby goes home and is still resisting her father, Whip.
