Hoot by Carl Hiaasen is a book about a boy named Roy who sees a boy without shoes running down the sidewalk. After Roy sees this boy he decides to run after him but a bully gets in the way and tries to choke him. After Roy escapes the bully he sprints after the boy and find his home in a hole with three garbage bags filled with clothes,trash and, oh no! Poionous snakes!
The novel Hoot also includes a story about a police man named Officer Delinko who is watching over the construction of the new Mother Paula's All-American Pancake House. Officer Delinko is hoping to have a relaxing time on this case but wasn't planning on finding alligators in the portable toilets or having the windows of his patrol car spray painted black! The owner of the Pancake House said if there were any more delays on the construction he would be sent to headqaurters for one long boring month.

This sounds like a very interesting book I would definetly read it. I have heard if this book and was told that there two books in one. Do the two stories come together into one?

This story sounds really good i liked how there was more than one story that you wrote about.
