The book Haddix by Margaret Peterson is a great book if you really love history and sci-fi novels.  But the main problem is when Jonah and his friends are stranding in the past so he can save his friends from being kidnapped, killed, and to help them save their past.  But along the way Jonah must face his fears, his friends and a power hungry king who’s trying to take over London. Over all it’s a great book and I would recommend it to anyone who loves reading.
