In "The Cage" a person named Riva transformed from girl to a woman.Riva and her little brothers had opened their house to help protect others. In Riva's house there is a cellar that she and other Jews use to hide from the Nazis. Riva works at a tailor shop, there are lists of peoples names that are being deported. One day no-one talked to Riva, after a while Riva asked an older woman why people were ignoring her. It was a sad reason, Riva found out that she was on the list but was removed and replaced with another person. Riva's little brothers took their Uncles gray tweed coat and made it into clothes for Riva. Riva's little brothers knew that even in a ghetto young men are still looking at Riva as a young lady. Riva has taken a liking to a young man named Yulek. Riva suggests him and his sister hide in the cellar but he says no. Riva went to Yulek's apartment to help pack, when Yulek and Riva looked into each others eyes. For the first time Yulek and Riva's lips connected as they held each other close and tight.
