I am reading games by Carol Gorman. Boot and Mick's fights are becoming more often they agree to have a dare both boys are dared with horrific dares. After these events Mick is told by his friends that people are betting on there fights. As the story continues with everyday the two enemies go to the game room they still refuse to play games. On this particular day boot comes upon a blocked off  door that goes down into what seems like the basement of the school. The boys pry the door open and  enter the room it is old cold and dark. yet is to be discovered.
