In the novel Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer there is a boy named Artemis Fowl and his friend Butler. Artemis is looking for fairies and finds a man who leads him to one. The fairy he found was almost dead and he traded a cure for 30 min with her book. using that info Artemis caught Holly a leprecon fairy mix who was a fairy cop and had just defeated a troll. Artemis Fowl is a book that is full of plot twists and suprizes.

I love reading books filled with mystery and magic! I would suggest the book a snicker of magic. It is about a girl who finds out there is magic in her town and has to break a curse put upon her family.
