In the book Oblivion, Holly and Jamie spent their days helping in the village. But one day, Holly came home from picking berries and found out that Jamie and another boy she lived with named George had a fight. Fight was illegal in the town, they tried to stay as peaceful as possible. A nice lady named Miss Keyland found out about this fight and told the police. She traveled outside the border and when the guard stopped her, she claimed to be looking for mushrooms. The guard was tricked by her charm and let her past. Miss Keyland remembered that there was an old telephone booth in the middle of what surrounded the border, which was a forest, and tried her best to get through, and when she finally did, she did the most unspeakable thing, she told the police about what was happening in the town. Holly and Jamie were following her, without her knowledge, and when they saw why she came out to the forest, they rushed back to the town and told Rita, John, and George. Holly sounded the alarm and everyone came out to the square. Holly and Jamie were hiding when Miss Keyland came back. A black car followed her. A woman exited the car, Miss Keyland told the lady about what was happening and the lady realized that this woman was of no use and shot her. "Do any of you know where Jamie is," She shouted. No one knew where he was, and the officers where to shoot everyone after this. They followed their orders. Holly and Jamie are now in a town with less food and water, since this was the only escape.
