Happy June!  It is currently 92 degrees in my classroom.  There are little puddles of sweat  here and there.  Should I be whining? As they say, things could be worse, it could be raining or snowing.

The children are doing an amazing job with their rehearsals of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.  Some children have even  memorized their parts.  The play is very long so I am most impressed. We'll be adding the props and costumes next week.

We're very busy doing not only our D.A.R.E. essays, but we are also working on our poetry books.  We thank all the volunteers who have put together the book covers.

In Math we have been working on some difficult puzzles called Tangrams.  The children are doing quite well with them. Only seven shapes can be used to build a specific picture.  Yes, I am having them go bonkers.  They will be creating their own pictures using these 7 shapes.

I guess that is it for this year.  See you in the Fall. Have a great summer!  Mar Thomas
