Here is a bit of information you may find useful for 6th grade:

Part of the ELA homework will be to read at least 30 minutes most nights.  This is extremely important to help students build comprehension skills, increase fluency and boost self-confidence.

Math homework is assigned at least three times a week.  Students are usually able to get started on their work during class so that Mrs. Horacek can ensure that students will not struggle at home.  Their math notebook is an essential tool during homework - ALL of the step-by-step instructions are located in the math notebook.  Here are some great websites that students can use to help with their math skills -- multiplication facts and much more!
