My name is Mrs. Miller. I have lived in Horseheads all my life and I graduated from Horseheads High School. I am honored to be working in the district that I was raised in.
I earned my teaching degree in special education and elementary education from Mansfield University in 2007. Continuing on the path to life-long learning, I finished my Masters Degree as a Reading Specialist from Elmira College in 2009. I finished my second Masters Degree in Educational Administration in 2017 from Brockport University.
Prior to teaching Special Education at Center Street, I taught at Horseheads High School. While earning my degree, I substitute taught in every grade level across the district. I currently serve as the Direct Instruction Peer Coach K-12.
When I am not in the classroom I enjoy spending time with my family, which includes my husband, Dan, my daughter, Taylor who is a graduate of Mansfield University, and my son, Dominick who is in eight grade at Horseheads Middle School. I enjoy reading, learning, camping and being at the lake.
I look forward to the exciting school year ahead and to helping all of my students become stronger readers and writers!
