Pre-kindergarten

Welcome to music in pre-k!  Get ready to learn many new songs, sing some familiar songs, and play many games.  We are going to try to develope good singing voices, learn to feel a steady beat and just enjoy music.

Some of the songs we will be singing this year are:  "Snail, Snail", "Roll the Ball","Engine, Engine, No. 9", "Ring Around The Rosies", "Wake Up Groundhog", "Paw Paw Patch" and "The Wheels On The Bus". Many of these songs are also games.

We will also be listening to music.  Some of things we will be doing while listening to different types of music are "Fooey", "Movement With Colors", "Calypzo Caboose", "Bouncing Bubbles", "Creatures of the Garden", and "Cuckoo in the Deep Dark Forest".

We will also do some bean bag songs, songs that use scarves, songs that help children learn colors and shapes.  We also have movement songs that go with the letters of the alphabet that they learn throughout the year.

I am expecting a very good year and look forward to preparing for our two concerts - one in December and one in June.  Check back later to see the words to the songs that the boys and girls will be singing at those concerts.
