Reminders
Please encourage your child to get to school on time. School starts at 8:10am and is dismissed at 2:40pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. On Wednesdays school starts at 8:10am and is dismissed at 1:25pm.
Students shpould arrive at school on time every day and should be picked up at dismissal.
Nintendo DS, PSP, TPODS etc. Do not belong in school. these items interrupt instruction. They are also valuable and we cannot be responible for them. They can be kept safest at home. Cell phones need to be turned off during school unless permission is granted by a teacher.
Entrance and Dismissal Procedures
Coburn School values our parents community and wishes to maintain our warm open environment. With this in mind and the safety of our children, we will again begin to implement our entrance and dismissal procedures. We ask that parents remain outside when the morning bell rings and let their child enter the building under the supervision of the teacher. Parents are always welcome and encouraged to be part of their child's school experience. If you would like to visit the classroom or volunteer in the classroom, please kindly visit our main office and sign in. We will then issue a visitor badge that you will be asked to wear. We thank you in advanced for your cooperation as you help us create a more secure and productive learning environment.
Student Messages
We are happy to give students messages from home in the event that an emergency arrises and dismissal plans need to be changed. Please remember to remind your children about the end of the day plans before they leave for school ion the morning. Student messages do interrupt instructional time.
Absent Students
If your child is going to absent from school, please call 735-3660 or 735-3657 by 8:30am. If your child is absent and you wish to have his/her homework, please call the school office before noon, and we will arrange to have work left in the office for pick up at dismissal.
Medications at School
For students to take any medication at school, the Health Office must receive:
*A written order from the Doctor prescribing the medication.
*A written note from the Parent giving consent for the medication to be given at school.
*Medications must be transported to and from the Health Office by an adult. This applies to all medications, including inhalers, medicated creams, cough syrups and non-prescription medications such as Tylenol.

We now have an automatic dialer that will call home in the morning if your child is out and you did not call or send a note. Please remember to call us at 735-3660 if your child is out so you will not get a call. When your child returns to school always follow up each absence with a note for our records.
School Breakfast Reminder
Any student attending breakfast must arrive at school between 8:00-8:40 am.
Box Tops and Soup Labels
Coburn school continues to collect Cambell's soup labels and General Mills Box Tops for Aeducation. Our school has benefited greatly from these programs. Please continue to save all of your soup labels and box tops and send them to school with your child.
