Outstanding Student Projects

Here at Parley Coburn, we had a 6th grade student, Josh, who did an outstanding job on a Social Studies project on Ancient Egyptian Studies. Josh undertook the difficult task of creating a life size sarcophagus, complete with the items that he would like to take with him into the afterlife. The sarcophagus is a casket-like box carved from stone in which royal mummies were placed. The sarcophagus was decorated with things that represented the person inside.

About the project, Josh said "It took two weeks to build and a lot of help from my mom and Value Home Center."

When given the chance to assess the work that he had done, Josh's classmates yelled out it unison, "Give him an A."
