6th Grade Supply List for 2014-2015
General supplies for all 6th grade:
| We would appreciate any classroom donations of the following: crayons, markers, colored pencils, highlighters, as well as any of the general supplies. |
2 packages of lined paper
24 pencils
Cap erasers
Set of dividers
3 packs of 3x3 post it notes
1 pad of 1x1 ½ post it notes
2 boxes of Kleenex
2 dry erase markers
scissors
1 combination lock (should be a good one that can last the year)**
**Students will be required to leave any electronics locked in their lockers. We will be helping them transition and ask that they all have a combination only lock.
** Students will also be reading the following books this year as part of the new Common Core Curriculum
- Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief written by Rick Riordan
- Bud Not Buddy written Christopher Paul Curtis
During our study of these novels, students will be using their books to write post it notes and rereading the text several times. It may be a good idea to purchase the above books for your child so that they can have their own copies to close read and interact with the text during class.
