Response to Intervention

The mission of the Coburn Response to Intervention Team is to provide creative, individual strategies to facilitate student success.

As part of Parley Coburn's continued commitment to look at the individual needs of students and their success, the Response to Intervention Team exits as a way to brainstorm and assist teachers with interventions and strategies within the classroom. The Response to Intervention Team is made up of instructional specialists to address academic needs, our school counselor looks at a student's social and emotional needs, our school nurse for medical and health needs, the school psychologist, and the classroom teacher. Meetings are held weekly on Tuesdays. Parent are invited to attend in order for them to help us look at a variety of strategies so that their child experiences more success in school. We value parental opinions and input and rely on our partnership with them to problem-solve together.

If you are concerned with how your child is doing in school, please arrange a discussion with their classroom teacher. After this discussion, a referral to the Response to Intervention Team may be made and a meeting date and time will be scheduled.
