About the FCOC

What's an FCOC?

The Family and Community Outreach Coordinator (FCOC) used to be called the Parent Partner. Every school has an FCOC, and he or she is there to help connect you to your school by providing programs, information, resources, and support. The activities your FCOC promotes are designed to promote communication between the school and students' families. The success of your child's education is heavily influenced by your involvement in your child's school. The FCOC is there to make sure you have everything you need to be actively involved.

The Diven Elementary FCOC

As of November 2018, the Diven Elementary FCOC is Liz Zilinski. Mrs. Zilinski has two children, one in Kindergarten and one that will soon be in preschool. You may know her from her involvement in other community organizations, including Horseheads Family Resource Center, Paradise Garden Animal Haven, Chemung County SPCA, or the Chemung Valley Audubon Society. You can contact Mrs. Zilinski by e-mail or by visiting in her office, C101, Monday - Friday from 7:30am - 11:30pm (appointments are encouraged).
