2. What is a disadvantage of using plastic pipe?

Due do temperature changes the pipe will expand and contract more than metal pipe. (2.1.0)

3. Define  Polymers and explain  how they relate to the construction of plastics.

polymers are long chains of molecules that manufactures can mold, to cast, or force through a die into a desired shape.  (2.2.0)

1.       What is an advantage of using plastic pipe?

Most plastic pipes are chemically inert meaning they do not react with other substances or materials.

2.       What is a disadvantage of using plastic pipe?

Temperature change causes the plastic to expand and contract more then metal.

3.       Define  Polymers and explain  how they relate to the construction of plastics.

Polymers are long chains of molecules that manufactures can mold, cast, or force through a die into desired shapes. This relates to the construction of plastics in that the plastics can be heated as pellets or powder and then molded into shape.

4.       Explain thermosetting piping

It changes chemically when heated, so that once hardened by heat or chemicals, it is hardened permanently

5.       Define SDR

SDR relates wall thickness to the diameter of pipe, using a set ratio.

6.       What is the minimum schedule size plastic pipe that can be used in or under buildings
