In the novel Girls Best Friend, written by Leslie Margolis, Maggie Brooklyn is a dog walker in Brooklyn who goes through many crazy events in her life. Maggie Brooklyn walks her land owners dog named Preston her land owner named Isabel  lost a beautiful ring that her x-husband Henry gave to her. Then one time Maggie was walking Preston and he had to do his business and when Maggie picked up Preston's business with a plastic bag she saw something shiny that looked like a ring. When Maggie went back to Isabels to drop Preston off Isabel was not there and the apartment was all messed up. For the next couple of weeks Isabel was missing everything was still in the same place, then one day she was there but the apartment was still a mess and her apartment was never a mess unless she was looking for something special. This is alot of mysterious and crazy  things Maggie goes through in her life.
