In my book Girls Best Friend  Maggie has notice that many more dogs have gone missing not just Kermit. Maggie had to one day takes Preston to the vet to get his nails clipped. Maggie took him to a place called  Boutique Breeds by Brenda. When Brenda finished clipping his nails and gave him a free check up she said that Preston had a bad heart disease and  he would need to get surgery. When she was there Maggie thought she recognized Brenda's voice from when she bumped into someone and she thought she had a dog in her purse. Maggie also saw someone take a dog and leave a note on the bench the dog was tied up to. When Maggie found out who took the dog he explained that he dose not take dogs he leaves a note on the bench that the dog was tied up to say that they should not leave there dog tied up and he would hide and wait in till they came back and then he would give the dog back and explain to them to . Maggie then asked if he took Kermit put he said he never heard of that dog . Maggie now thinks that it is Brenda at Boutique Breeds since Preston then went to a different vet and said he was fine.
