Two guys came running out of the maze with backpacks and water topes stuck to there mouth they were tired and they ran as fast as they could with someone on there backs. frightened a burst of air came through the entrance of the maze then the doors closed the man on the backs of the runners was named ben. ben was stung  by the things that were in  the maze. who knows what happened to ben but since ben got stung all we know in the story is that theres know more runners all the runners quit because ben got stung. The evening after ben was thrown in the pit thomos was elected to be a runner and every morning Thomas would run the maze with one other runner to find away out so they can be free but strange things happen and they found mysterious things that could get them out.
