2 | Gilgamesh Essay Revision - (1st revision - Past Due but Still Accepted) 3rd revision - Due 2-16-10 Students must complete all checklist requirements by this date. This includes all editing and revision expectations as well as addressing feedback. |
3 | The Odyssey - retell Cicones & Lotus Eaters - 1/2 page each - Due: 2-4-10 Students are listening and reading various scenes from The Odyssey by Homer and retelling the scenes from another point of view in 1/2 page or more. |
3 | Honors - Read The Odyssey to page 18 & Take Notes - Due 2-4-10 Students are reading The Odyssey and taking notes on characters and threads in the story. Quizzes will take place after many of these readings. |
8 | Quiz tomorrow on Cicones, Lotus Eaters, Cyclops, & Sirens Due: 2-8-10 Students have been asked to write a retelling summarizing each of the beforementioned scenes from The Odyssey. The quiz will be on all four scenes. |
8 | Honors - Read The Odyssey to page 23 & Take Notes - Due 2-9-10 Students are asked to continue reading The Odyssey by Homer five pages per night. A quiz will happen each Tuesday on the 30 pages assigned that week. |
11 | The Odyssey - retell Scylla & Charybdis & The Cattle of Helios (Five Sentences each) Due 2-22-10 After reading both stories in class and writing magnet words for each story, students are asked to retell the story using a different point of view. |
11 | Honors - Read The Odyssey to page 48 & Take Notes - Due 2-12-10 Students are reading The Odyssey and taking notes on the three strands - Ithaca, Odysseus, and the gods. Bring questions and thoughts to class. |
