11 | List of Books ever read Due 9-13-09 Students are asked to compile a list of books read since fifth or sixth grade. Include title and author on your paper. We will be adding books. |
14 | Outside Summer Reading extension Due 9-24-08 Students who did not complete summer reading expectation are asked to complete the assignment for partial credit. This is worth 10% of their grade. |
15 | Introductory Letter Due 9-17-09 Students are to write a letter to describe themselves with interests, family, career plans, strengths and weaknesses, goals this year, etc. (One page) |
17 | Constitution Depiction Due 9-21-09 Students are asked to create a drawing to illustarte the expectations of respect, responsibility, fairness, and friendship that we will allow use. |
21 | Teaming Essay Due 9-24-09 Students write a five paragraph essay discussing the three most important characteristics of a successful team. This may be hand written or typed. |
22 | Literary Elements Quiz (1-7) Quiz 9-25-09 Students are memorizing seven literary elements for a matching quiz on Friday. (character,setting,theme,plot,conflict,point of view, characterization) |
23 | IGPRO Report Signed and Returned Due 9-28-09 Students get a copy of their grade report and take it home to get signed. This also helps remind students of work to be completed for partial credit. |
25 | Literary Elements Quiz (1-14) Quiz 10-2-09 Students are memorizing 14 words and definitions for a matching quiz. (protagonist, antagonist, personification, symbol, climax, epic, & here/heroine) |
28 | Final Chapter - Shadows of the Neanderthal - Due 9-30-09 Students are writing a one page typed or hand written final chapter to a story read in class. This should be realistic and support the story facts. |
