15This week
This week students will be practicing dialogues about shopping. On Friday they will be asked to read one of these dialogues with another classmate for a quiz grade. They will be graded on their pronunciation, understanding, and attitude. The dialogue scripts and audio are available at my online classroom and down below. This speaking will help prepare students for a larger assessment in about 3 weeks.

16Homework
Study the mini dialogues by speaking them outloud and reading the English translations.

Dialogues practiced in class will be graded on Pronunciation, understanding of the text, and positive attitude toward / for the assignment.
21this week
8th grade Spanish students will continue practice with the preterite (past) tense. A script describing a past shopping experience was given to students to aid them in a speaking assessment to be given in 2-3 weeks. This Friday's quiz is based on this week's notes and interrogative words.

28Homework / studying this week
Spanish students will focus on memorizing their dialogue script this week. The script outlines a conversation that students will have (one-on-one) with their teacher. This will count as an important MYP assessment speaking grade, and sessions begin next week on Nov. 4th. All students received a copy of the dialogue, and resources to study and practice will be available online.
