10Notebook check! 
Students will be given a notebook check for a class work grade on Thursday, May 10. All students should have the date, day, and weather heading each day's notes. They should also have important phrases regarding health in Spanish, 2 or 3 are given each day. Finally, notes of the students choice, to help them remember vocabulary should also be present.
 
 
11Skit quiz, the topic: Health 
Students will speak a short skit (with a partner, 6 lines total as a minimum, in Spanish) on the topic of health for a quiz grade. Some class time will be given, students should also prepare outside of class. In addition, a written copy of the script will be submitted. 
17Students should study HEALTH vocabulary 
Students should be studying Spanish vocabulary that is focused on HEALTH.  There will be a quiz on some common phrases and words on Friday the 18th.  Students will also be required to speak on the topic of health next week for 2-3 minutes.  They should be very familiar with this vocabulary.   On my website, students may find resources to aid them in practice.

Students have recorded in their Spanish notebooks the specific vocabulary for a quiz today (Friday the 18th).  It is also available online on my website. 
21THIS WEEK 
All eight grade Spanish students will be given Speaking assessments this week. Study the possible scenarios given to you, and study your notes that you have taken on Health -- La salud. Be sure to arrive on time for your appointments to speak.
 
In general, until this years end, we will be reviewing vocabulary and grammar in preparation for they NYS Foreign Language Proficiency exam, which all students will take on Monday morning, June 18th.
 
22Speaking Test Appointments 
Students must remember to attend their pre-arranged appointment times, and speak in Spanish on the topic of Health.  This is a Test grade.

30Week of REVIEW 
Studentsof Spanish should be systematically reviewing all notes and handouts from the past two years of language study.  Review of vocabulary is the main emphasis, and 5-10 minutes of study outside of class should  suffice for most students.  Additional review materials are available on paper, and more than enough is available online.
