31Important Spanish News

Your students have 2 more important assessments before the end of the year.   The first is this week, Wednesday and Thursday, June 1 and 2.  Students will write a letter to a friend about their plans for a job or profession in the future.  The future tenses  will be used.  The second is their final exam in Spanish.  The main part of this final exam is on June 13, but smaller additional parts (a writing and a speaking)  will be done in class close to this date.  It is important to note that 8th grade students passing this final exam will receive high school credit for foreign language.  The final exam also comprises 20% of their grade for the year in Spanish.
And the year is rapidly coming to a close!  This group of students has been one of the most pleasant in my experience.  They will continue their Spanish study as freshmen and sophomores in high school, and hopefully beyond.   I am confident the world will appreciate their ability to speak and understand another language.
