About Miss Strong

 

ABOUT ME
 

My name is Miss Strong and I am the seventh grade health teacher at Horseheads Middle School. I have been teaching health at Horseheads for 9 years. I love my job! Let me tell you a few things about myself!
 
I am a small town girl who grew up in Addison, New York. I graduated salutarian of my class in 2002. In high school I played several sports, including soccer, softball, and track. I participated in many extra-curricular activities including student council, national honor society, and other community service organizations. I also spent my free time voluteering and lifeguarding.

After high school I attended Ithaca College and graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor's degree in K-12 Health Education. I then began teaching health at Horseheads Middle School in the fall of 2005. In 2006 I began my master's degree at Elmira College. I graduated with a master's degree in Early Childhood and Childhood Education in the 2009. I am also a certified tutor and enjoying tutoring students of all ages in a variety of subjects.

In my free time I enjoy staying active, exercising, traveling, being invovled with my church, and spending time with my family at our lake house in the summer.
