Classroom Rules and Expectations

During the first week of school, the children generated a list of rules that they felt were important for them to follow. I utilized their ideas to create a “Classroom Constitution” which contains five rules.  Each child has agreed to try his/her best to follow our “Constitution”.

The rules are listed below:

  • Be respectful of others and their property.
  • Take responsibility for your own actions and choices.
  • Use inside voices.
  • Follow the directions the first time.
  • Raise your hand to ask or answer a question.
