Play Dough

2 cups flour

1/2 cup salt

2 teaspoons cream of tartar

2 cups water

2 tablespoons oil

Mix.  Cook over medium heat.

Bubble Prints

Add liquid dish detergent to warm water and shake in a plastic bottle until well mixed.  Add food coloring or liquid water color. Pour into a shallow dish.  Have children blow through a straw into the mixture until bubbles foam high above the dish. (It's just like blowing bubbles in your milk.)  Lay a piece of paper on top of the bubbles and flatten down onto the dish.  Repeat the process with other colors on the same paper.

Flubber

2 cups white glue

1 1/2 cups water

food coloring

2 level tsp. Borax soap

1 cup hot water

Combine the glue, 1 1/2 cups water, and food coloring.  Set aside.  In another large bowl, dissolve the Borax in the cup of hot water.  Slowly stir the glue mixture into the Borax.  It will coagulate and be difficult to mix.  Pour off the excess water, and then let it sit for several minutes.  Drain off the remaining water.  Store flubber covered in the refrigerator when it is not being used.
