College Panel Program

May 23rd, 2013

is a school day long program held at Elmira College’s Hamilton Hall, designed to successfully prepare our upperclassmen students with disabilities for the demands of post-secondary education. The program includes discussions led by recent Horseheads High School graduates that are currently enrolled in college; interactive games; eye-opening conversations about college, successful study skills and test taking strategies; and a tour of the campus and dorms. Not only do the students leave with the knowledge of how to succeed in college, but they are also provided with an Elmira College backpack full of start-up supplies such as a flash drive, note cards, highlighters, pens, pencils, binders, dividers, folders, and more. This program is wildly successful and very popular with our students.
