How does a parent navigate Schooltool?

When first logging in, you will need three things.

    1. An email address-Your current email address may be used to access Schooltool. For this to happen, the school needs to have your email address on file so that we can allow your email address to be used when logging into Schooltool.  If you have not given your email address to the school, please contact Kim Nichols at 346-4000 Extension 1046 for high school students and Mary Ann Benedict at Extension 2004 for junior high students. 
    2. The web site of the Schooltool database is https://stweb.livoniacsd.org/schooltoolweb/
    3. Access to your own email.  You will be receiving your first Schooltool password through your email.  It will be necessary to make sure you have access to your email when your first log in.

 
 
 
 
 

How do I get a password?

    1. Go to the Schooltool web site from step 2 above.
    2. Where it says “Username”, type in your full email address that you provided to the school.
    3. Click on the blue Login button, ignoring where it says “password”
    4. The words “New User or Forgot Password” will appear on the screen in blue.
    5. Click on these words.
    6. You will see the screen refresh and you will be prompted again to enter your username.  Fill in the box again with your email address and click the Submit button.
    7. Clicking Submit will cause an email message to be sent to you that will contain your new password.  The password is case sensitive.

 
 
 
 
 
 

How do I log in?

    1. Once you have your password, you can now log into the system.
    2. Go to Schooltool using the web address.
    3. Log in using your email address.
    4. Type in the password that was sent to you, remembering to be case sensitive.
    5. Click the Login button to enter Schooltool. You will see the main Home screen which includes 3 tabs, Students, Campus and Account.
    6. Click the Account tab to change the password to one that is more comfortable and easier to remember. 
    7. The next time you log in, you will enter your e-mail address and the new password you created.

 
 
 

How do I use school tool to find information?

    1. Once logged in, parents will be presented with a screen containing three tabs: students, campus and account. 
    2. The Students tab provides a listing of all students that “belong” to the logged-in parent. 
    3. Click on the student name.
    4. The screen will refresh with that student’s personal information and several additional tabs.
    5. The contact tab provides a list of contacts associated with that student. 

 
 
 

Will I be able to see my student’s schedule on Schooltool?

Yes, click on the schedule tab and this provides a complete list of the student’s schedule, teacher name and email contact is available.  The envelope listed by each teacher’s name allows parents to send an email to that teacher just by clicking on the envelope. 
 
 

Will I be able to check on my student grades?

Yes, click on the grades tab based on the selected view.  The word “None” will be listed until grades are published.  Grades will be there for marking periods, assignments, assessments and progress reports. 

  
 

Will I be able to check on homework grades?

Yes, the assignment tab shows a list of all graded assignments for the current year once the teacher has graded the assignment and publishes the grade. 
 
 

Will I be able to check on my student’s attendance?

Yes, the attendance tab shows a summary of the student’s total absences for the current year.  All course attendance allows parents to see all course absences, including the reason. 
 
 
 

Will I be able to check on any discipline issues that may arise?

Yes, the Discipline tab allows parents to view a list of all referrals the student may have received, along with specific information.
