PHYSICAL EDUCATION GRADING
PRIMARY ELEMENTARY GRADES K – 3 CRITERIA
Criteria for Marking:
1. Effort/Conduct/Participation 100%
Including:
· Develops fundamental movement skills
· Develops perceptual awareness skills
· Participates in skills common to sports and games
· Develops gross motor skills
· Compiles tasks
· Puts forth best effort
· Participates in rhythms activities
· Willingly participates
· Shows position work habits
· Develops and practices behavior reflective of good sportsmanship and safety
· Plays well with others
· Respects property
· Respects authority
· Assumes responsibility for self
· Shows consideration of self, others and equipment
· Showa ability to listen and follows directions
· Shows ability to cooperate
· Demonstrates self control
INTERMEDIATE ELEMENTARY GRADES 4-6 CRITERIA
Criteria for Marking:
1. Effort/ Conduct/ Participation 70%
· Develops fundamental movement skills
· Develops perceptual awareness skills
· Participates in skills common to sports and games
· Develops gross motor skills
· Compiles tasks
· Puts forth best effort

· Skills Improvement: Appropriate valid skills assessment rubric administered at the beginning and conclusions of respective units
