Homework is assigned each night, although I do try to keep Fridays clear.  All assignments are written on the chalkboard so that they can be copied directly into student agendas.  It is expected that homework assignments will be completed and handed in on the appropriate due dates.  It is my policy to NOT accept late assignments unless a student was absent on the date due.  If a student is absent, it is his/her responsibility to collect any missed work (class and homework) and the notes from the day and turn in the assignments on the following day.

I cannot stress the importance of reading each night.  If there isn't a written assignment, students are still required to read at least 20 minutes each night (and yes--they can read for 30 if they like).
