Required Supplies for 6th Grade

SUPPLY LIST 6th Grade

You will need the following supplies for sixth grade:

 

1.     Math

§     1 marble composition notebook

(non-spiral)

§     1 folder

§     2 or more packages of loose leaf

(re-stock throughout the year)

§     1 pack of graph paper

§     1 ruler (inches and metric)

§     Correcting pens/pencils

(easy to read colors- no bright gel pens please)

§     Index cards

§     2 handheld pencil sharpeners with cap for shavings

2.     Science

§     1 binder (2” – 3” rings) 

§     1 packages of dividers

(you will need at least 7)

§     1 folder (with 3 ring holes)

§     2 or more packages of loose leaf

(re-stock throughout the year)

§     Index cards

 

3.      ELA

§     1 binder (1” rings) 

§     2 packages of dividers

§     2 or more packages of loose leaf

(re-stock throughout the year)

§     1 folders (Writing)

§     2 Composition Books

§     1 Magazine File

                                                           

4.     Social Studies

§     1 binder (1” rings) 

§     1 packages of dividers

§     1 package of loose leaf

(re-stock throughout the year)

5.     Other Supplies

§     pencil case

§     Pens (Blue/ black and red)

§     At least 2 dozen #2 pencils

§     Extra  pencil erasers

§     Homework folder

§     Encore folders

§     book covers (stretchy kind work best)

§     1-2 boxes tissues

§     2 different colored highlighters

§     1 pack colored pencils

  2-3 pieces of poster board to keep at home    

  (until needed for in-class projects)

  

Items needed for physical education:

Sneakers, shorts, socks, T-shirt and sweatshirt

Middle school lockers are narrow and small.  Please make sure your student’s backpack is not too large and will fit in the school locker.  Backpacks with wheels and handles will NOT fit.  A standard size book bag is fine.

Please be aware that supplies run out during the school year and may need to be replenished.  Textbooks issued are the student’s responsibility.  Lost or destroyed books must be paid for.
