About Me

I received a BS in Biology from Union College in 2002.  After spending a year volunteering with the Student Conservation Association, I decided to go back to school to get my masters degree in education.  I graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh in 2005 with a masters in science in teaching with an elementary certification.

I have been a teacher for twelve years now.  I first taught science for grades 6-8 at a private catholic school in Glens Falls called St. Mary's/St. Alphonsus.  From there, I moved here to Liberty in 2008 and this is my ninth year teaching in the middle school.  This year I am also teaching an AP Biology course in the high school.

Outside of school, I am the editor for a heavy metal website and frequently write reviews, attend concerts, and conduct interviews with bands of all sizes.  I have two awesome sons, Connor and Devin, who also little rockers/scientists in the making.
